Hey,
I was wondering, if I add this to my rack along with a firestudio project, will that let me have 16 simultaneous tracks/inputs to record? Or does this just act as a preamp?

Apr 07, 2008 02:54 pm Maybe they are conflicting. I don't read it as that necessarily. The bottom line is the Digimax has ADAT output. It will plug right into the Firestudio for an additional 8 I/O. If you question that, you can always download the manual or go talk to a sales rep. I can guarantee that you will be able to use the Digimax with the Firestudio without a hitch.
Yes, you can use the Digimax as a standalone preamp but it just happens to also be an Analogue to Digital converter.
Apr 08, 2008 04:38 am Whoa! I just looked. The Firestudio Project does NOT have ADAT input. The Firestudio does have ADAT and would interface without a hitch however, without ADAT on the FS Project, you are SOL.
