So I went ahead and ordered Logic Express

It looks to me like it functions a lot like Garageband, and from what I understand I can open Garageband projects in Logic Express.

I guess I'll find out on Tuesday, and I'll keep you guys posed.

Also, what the hell happened? I swore off computer recording twice now and here I am back again!

WE always come back to that familiar thing. Besides, you know this is were you can do the most with your recordings. Although sometimes simple is good, it isn't always better.

Well, my biggest problem with computer recording is all the damn clicking... clickity click click... it drives me nuts!

The problem I've had with standalone digital recorders is a lack of tracks and options.

Sooo, I'm hoping I get the best of both worlds with the FW1884 and Logic Express. Either that or it'll get so complicated I get frustrated and sell it all just like last time. Who knows?

A little patience and it will all be good. That combination will make it a bit easier to avoid all the clicking and dragging.

That's what I'm hoping. I just can't deal with not actually having faders and knobs and flashing lights in front of me for some reason.

Also I just discovered that my FW1884 has MOTORIZED FADERS! I can't tell you how excited that makes me. I feel like a little kid. I can't wait to open a project in Logic Express and watch all the faders jump into place.

Ya know, that is how I felt when first jumping into the digital thing. But now in Sonar I am so used to having everything set up with key strokes and all customized to my needs I don't really miss the faders. Maybe a little but not enough to have spent cash on a control interface yet.

And ya, I assumed you knew it had those.

Like a kid in the candy store.
