Hi guys,

Just got a quick question about recording digital drums.

i have a DTXplorer set and its ace... but when i try and use it for recording the sounds suck :|

I once read that i could hook it up to my pc using a midi cable and change the sounds...

is there some software for this? i currently use sonar 6 for recording and i cant find any way to add custom drum sounds...

cheers for any help

You actually need to leave it hooked up to the module the triggers are plugged into. Then use a midi cable from the midi output of the module and that will go to a midi in on the PC. Then you can send the note data to a drum synth VSTi such as Battery or DrumCore or the like and have good drum sounds that you can easily change or edit.
