Won Timberwolves tickets last night

So, I go to the VFW in town last night to meet a friend/former boss and a new client, whom happen to know each other. They play "Club-O" (Bingo with a different name so they don't have to pay some state Bingo tax or something) for free...

I won 4 lower level seats to the Timberwolves basketball game on Sunday...$70 each face value...and I have wanted to take my family to a pro sports game for the last year or so just to give them a taste of the excitement and fun but it's simply too expensive...what a great opportunity. Not that the Wolves are that great, but it'll be fun, more money left over for hotdogs and nachos thanks to the free tickets!

w00t!

Yeah, a Pro sports event would be cool, too bad it's just the Timberwolves.

Ha Ha! Like I should talk...my Bucks are just about as bad as your Wolves.

Anyway, good one! Enjoy the game. I've been to one Timberwolves game, and it was a blast. The Target Center sucks for concerts, but it's a great place to see a basketball game!

Yeah, the Wolves are no great shakes...my first pro basketball game ever, actually, was your Bucks...

It'll still be a fun, cool vibe for 6 and 9 year old kids...my dad and I had season Wolves tickets for the first few seasons to support pro ball in MN...then, after 4 losing seasons they UPPED our prices by 40%...way to thank us for years of support in the beginning, I haven't been to a game since...this will be the first.

Since both my girls are tall for the their age, basketball seems logical for them for sports...I do plan to take them to a Lynx game (chicks basketball) at some point, cuz they are very family friendly, female athletes and more reasonably priced.

Sweet. that would be a kick. Being up in the sticks, we go to HS football for sports fun =P.

I went to a few hockey games down in Detroit when I lived down there. Man, was that exciting. Definitely a spectacle.

On a similar note, my brother scored 2 tix to Collective Soul tomorrow night in Sault St Marie.

He couldn't drum up anybody exciting to go with him, so he's taking me instead =).

I gotta drive though =P.

That is cool for sure. And even though the T Wolves are not the greatest it is still fun to watch them play.

Well, as it turns out my dad had some promotional card to GameWorx right across from the target center, which is a big arcade...so we made an afternoon of it, the kids played some video games, we all played some air hockey, racing games and stuff, saw the wolves...they lost but the girls liked it...well, the oldest did, the youngest just watched everybody else in the stands, the mascot, and all the video sensory assaults around the center.

Still, it was loads of fun and we paid for parking and some nacho's, and thats about it...

Damn good family fun.

Oh dude, don't even mention GameWorx to the boyz. I have a couple friends involved in that and they are pissed that I haven't taken em there yet. Pretty cool place though isn't it. You can do lunch and play vids and all the fun stuff.

Glad the game turned out OK though as well and they enjoyed it.
