The problem you're having sounds like it might be a RAM issue. Whats your PC specs? Are you running tons of effects like reverbs and other CPU intensive effects?

ok, so i use cubase le and wavelab and i have a problem that insists on continuing after everything i have tried.
pretty much every solitary time i record or mix, my playback slows down, distorts and phases really bad, i close cubase and restart it and it goes away and comes back.
i have reinstalled, repaired, done a system restore and looked over my FIREPOD and cannot get it straightened out. it is making me angry.
should i just upgrade to cubase studio 4?
i plan on upgrading either way but, i would like to finish some projects that i have going right now.
anybody have any clue?

Apr 03, 2008 06:44 am Yep, I'd be concerned with the performance not keeping up.
If you're in windows, you can start up performance monitor, and watch how your PC is doing. It'll let you watch all kinds of different things.
And also, giving us more details will get us started.
Mac or PC
specs of computer
hard drive speeds / size / fullness
version of OS
processes running in background
virus / chat / other programs running
how many tracks
how many effects, etc.
