For mastering software, I use Wavelab and Waves Diamond bundle- and from my understanding, that's pretty much industry standard. I don't know how to use half the stuff I have, so I wont say I 'master' with it per-say, I just bring up the levels and polish my music. Wavelab will run you from 50-500$ I think, but you could also use Sony Sound Forge, which I think is a little cheaper. A good Waves Bundle will run you about 1K$ US.

As for burning CDs and adding hidden tracks and such, I'm clueless. I just use Nero, which came with my lightscribe drives and it does an OK job. I'm not sure how to add hidden tracks though- I'd love to know!

And since you're in the money, if you have a spare midi controller floating around, send it my way, lol.

I use Harbal and also the wave plugs.

As far as CD burning and hidden tracks. I believe you just create a clip of silence lasting however long and just keep inserting it until you get to the hidden track. Adobe Audition has built in burning and does the dithering and 16 bit conversion all in one. Technically you could burn the CD's with roxio if you wanted, I don't believe there is anything special about the burning process.
