i am using acid 4.0 on my desktop and laptop. i installed some mic preamp vst's and cant get them to work with acid 4. but they load up and work just fine with acid 6. i didnt have to tell the program what folder my vst'a are in or anything. i have tried everything i know how to get them to work with 4.0, to no avail. i have saved the vst in my plugins folder in program files and told acid where to search for plugins, but they just dont show up. im not a big fan of acid 6 or i wouldnt worry about it. but i dont want to buy anymore vst programs if they wont work with my DAW. any suggestions? -joe p

anybody ever have this problem? i checked the source and they are legitimate freeware plugins. since they work on different versions of acid im wondering if there is a problem with my current daw.

It's likely that Acid 4 does not support VST v.2.

Upgrade Acid, that is probably the only solution. I doubt there is an update that will do it but you can check that at Sony.
