I posted a work in progress recording. This was all tracked with the new Edirol M-16DX digital mixer and Beta Monkey drums.

its not really a country song though - but I cant change its genre.

Suggestions please!

Am at work, speakers are not mix suggestion worthy. But... the levels sound pretty nice, drums are nice and bright as the snare cuts right through. Guitars sound good and I can hear your other instruments as well. From my limited standpoint I don't hear anything to change, add some vox and let's hear it again.

That's pretty darn nice. I'm on PC speakers too, so take that into account.

I'd drop the snare a little, as it grabs attention when the other sounds are in pause. I do like the sound of it though, just some of the hits are more prominent than others. Not all the hits, just some of them.

I like the way the lead comes into the song, and lifts it up all together, not just dropped on top of the song, if you know what I mean.

Nice cymbals. Sounds like a nice kit. Hmm, no cymbal hit at 1:33. I expected one =).
