Is there a way to record computer drum parts that I've programmed onto a 4-Track Casette recorder?

Feb 18, 2008 06:01 pm yes. I've done this a few times. What I usually did was mix down the drums on the PC to a single wav file, and then run the output of my interface into one of the inputs of the four track, and then just record.

Feb 19, 2008 07:03 pm Yep, just use the outputs of your interface and send them to the inputs of the 4 track. Are you looking to record all 4 tracks at once? I know some 4 track tape units only allow 2 tracks at once.

Feb 19, 2008 08:40 pm No I was meaning to only record one thing at a time. This could work for any other kind of soft synth couldn't it?

Feb 21, 2008 09:16 pm Wait...could I record it without an interface/mixer? Just directly from computer to 4-Track?
