Hi!
I have successfuly made them work together
and with low latency, i was so happy, but
then I wanted to tweak some parameter from Sonar in Reason. For example, draw an envelope in Sonar, which affected Subtractor any filter slider ...

ReWire 2.0 anounces, that it is cappable of bidirectional Midi comunication ... so I didn't find which channel to use .. and I expected to appear slider names in piano roll view like it is in DXi ... :(

I would be glad if anyone could help me with this one ...

Ok, so you do have Sonar 2.0 XL for sure? They have very good integration with Reason now. I have not used it myself, but know several who have, with very good luck. I believe Reason will act as it's own midi port, but I could be wrong. I know when I ran it in Cubase, it needed to be selected as a seperate port, then a channel assigned for control purpose's. I believe it act's a little differantly then a DXi synth or pluggin. I will look into it and post back here later.

I do have Sonar 2.0 XL ... and that ReWire thing with Reason works just fine ... as I said. BUT the only thing I can control from Sonar is note on/off with velocity of course, PAN, VOLUME ... I do want more ... how to get to all those knobs?????

You will have to learn about midi control parameter's, and several other function's of midi. As Reason is controlled by these, and more. In your manual for Reason, it will describe how to assign a controller number for a specific function. And this is how you will control Reason from within Sonar. It is not Sonar or ReWire that are at fault. The function's you name are the very basic controller number's that are set up by default for many app's.

You can even build your own control panel if you so desire, right in Sonar. So just open the book and read.

OK. Should I use any virtual loopback Midi device?
I cannot even activate Midi Remote, because
I got only one midi port which is used by Sonar ...

The question is: maybe somebody has used such a solution? You could send me an example .rns and .cwp file to [email protected]

to my mind everything should be working through ReWire, because simple Midi messages work, but nothing could be assigned ...
thank you

Do you have the manual for Reason and ReWire? I have given you the major solution's to the problem's. Yes, I assumed you allready had a loopback installed. The manual for Reason and ReWire should describe in detial how to link it all together. And there is a section for using ReWire in the Sonar Manul.
