how do get a little pic to go next to my user name?

Go to "My Account" in the top menu bar. Select "Edit Your Profile" Scroll down to the "Personal Avatar" section. You can figure it out from there.

yeah thanks man, its the first forum i've been a member of, so still getting used to it.
had no idea to look for the avatar bit.
