Hey there Vee, welcome to the HRC.

you haven't given very much information, so i'll nutshell my ideas.

mic plugged into mixer

phantom power turned on

Gain turned up, and seeing signal on channel

buttons selected so signal is directed to correct output

Output of mixer connected to computer interface (soundcard of some sort)

In PC, does software see the interface (and inputs)

in software, does meters show signal coming from inputs (that are connected to mixer outputs)

is track armed and ready to receive signal

are you pressing record? (kidding)

It would help to know what interface you're using, and how your old mixer was hooked up. Is it any different now? are you using different interface? etc.

More info the better, I'd say.

the mic is plugged in, phantomz on.
the mixer only shows its pickin the mic up when i press the clip buttin and still then its only cumin throught the left channel, the panz centred and the gain is up. trimz set to 0. cubase has detected the audio interface. i get sound cuming out but it just wont pick up the microphne, i had a reall small behringer mixer before this and it worked perfectly.

i have my monotor speakers connected and my stereo connected to the main output whcih is at the back of the mixer.

any help please?

thankz for ur reply:D

How is the mixer routed to the sound card? Meaning were is the cable coming out of the miser and were is it going into the sound card.

You are obviously only sending one side of the mixer channel to the mains, and whatever else you have connected.
