Jan 08, 2008 08:53 pm i havent heard that song but being a metalhead myself i do know that if you want that full, blistering, thick sound, you layer the guitars 1, 2, 3, 4, and more. it basicly comes down to how tight you can play the same thing over and over without it sounding mushy n stuff. im sure there is some kinda limit to how many you could do before this happens.
Some of the guru's round here could probably tell ya, im guessing after about 4 tracks of the same you really gotta be careful with the tightness of your playing.
Having said that quality of gear and mic placement would also play a big part.
