Question about Monitors and sound cards

I have a M-audio Firewire Solo going into a Alesis R300 power amp with 2 Alesis monitor one monitors. I turn the audio card full blast and the amp full blast and I can barely hear the music from the monitors. What gives? Do I need to run the sound card into a mixer before the amp???

Welcome to HRC.

Have you checked the software settings yet? That sounds like what might be the problem. The M-Audio unit should have its own control panel that you can set the output volume with.

Otherwise it could be the application your playing out of.

And lastly check the cables and all connection's.
