Hi
I have a Rode NTK studio condensor mic (which I love) but.....I've lost the cable!!
Anyone out there have one of these they could ring out for me?
I have a length of cable, I have the 7 pin plugs (male and female) but I don't know the wiring schedule. Is it as straight forward as pin 1 to pin 1 etc?
I don't want to risk damaging the mic by guessing.
If anyone can supply the wiring data it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Nov 13, 2007 05:34 pm Here's the manual; some people call the 7 pin XLR a TCD Cable, so if you need a longer one/ different brand what have you, you can search for both and find them online. The wires schedule shouldn't be an issue, since 7 pin cables schedule is uniform.

Good Luck :)
Nov 13, 2007 07:27 pm Fortunately I picked up an NTK a little while ago. Can't wait to use this thing. Didn't see the wiring in the manual. But according to my FLUKE it rings out 1 pin to 1 pin, 2 pin to 2 pin, and does so in sequence all the way through pin 7. Hope it helps ya.

Nov 13, 2007 07:46 pm Yup, the wiring is 1 pin 1 pin, 2 pin 2 pin, 3 pin 3 pin, etc. etc.
Though I wouldn't recommend making your own wire for it unless you have the XLR end bodies; I wouldn't risk the mic to a loose connection. Too nice of a mic :)

the info you've supplied will enable me to get the NTK back in service. I'm off to the shed to start soldering.
Best regards
