Sep 18, 2007 10:12 pm Yep, idiots one and all. And dragging a 16 year old kid with, what the hell is that teaching the kid.
I gotta agree, string em up.
Sep 19, 2007 05:19 am oh my god....
Sep 20, 2007 05:12 am kinda reminds me of that scene in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" where they were all...
I say we kill him!
I say we hang him, then we kill him!
I say we stomp him!
Then we tattoo him!
Then we hang him!
And then we kill him!
I say we let him go.
I say you let me have him first!
Sep 20, 2007 05:50 am I dunno, man, I just fail to see any humor in what these people did...one of these days you guys are all gonna see me on the news arrested as a vigilante...I am just getting sooooooo tired of people just thinking they can do what they want, when they want, to anyone they want, tired of the lawyers that defend them thereby telling them it's OK, and tired of the judges that slap them on the wrist and let them out to keep doing it.
Sep 20, 2007 05:59 am to this day, EVERY time i hear the word vigilante, it reminds me of Police Acadamy (i forget which one) but the one with the skateboarders gettin' scared by the 'voodoo' guy gooin "yamma yamma yahh-ma" in the van.
Sep 20, 2007 06:02 am i think it was one of the skaters that said "we could be vigilante's!" wow the power of association! i don't even know what the conversation was about (in the movie), but the word 'vigilante' makes me think 'yamma yamma yahh-ma'! that's amazing!
Sep 20, 2007 06:39 am I think of the Miami River Cops if anyone remembers that...four cops got sick of arresting the same coke smugglers time after time after time and watching judges let them out time after time after time so they just started wacking them...all of a sudden a few started washing up on shore.
Sep 20, 2007 07:04 am A couple days ago a guy in the cities here couldn't sleep, went for a bike ride (bicycle) at midnightish, got attacked and killed for no reason...which is sad, it's scumbags like this and the people in Guitar Jim's story that are wrecking this world.
I am so tired of people with their damned "Coexist" bumper stickers and garbage like that that think we should all just live and let live when there are scumbags like this that shouldn't be living. I'd love to Coexist if people would follow the norms of a peaceful, respectful society but until we as a society starting treating scum like scum, regardless of the reason their scum, then we can talk about coexisting.

Sep 20, 2007 03:35 pm dB, that guy was attacked by teenagers. They were talking about it on the morning show this AM. I didn't catch how many, but apparently it was a small group of em.
I think we may start seeing the groups in these neighborhoods starting to band together and smack these damn thugs and idiots down.
Besides, what the hell were high school kids doing out at frickin midnight on a school night.
Oh wait, this could lead back to the bad parent thing.
Sep 20, 2007 04:13 pm yeah, three teens is what Bryce was saying, I heard that too...
funny, how they have also said that high ranking people in the know say 90% of the problems come from 200 houses...200 in the thousands and thousands of houses...
Sep 20, 2007 04:17 pm Bunch of scumbags IMHO.
Nothing a good slap wouldnt solve.
Getts.

Sep 20, 2007 08:57 pm Ya, it seems like a small amount of work by police and such could really help clear out some of the crime going on in those neighborhoods. But that too is a problem there, lack of manpower really puts a damper on trying to get rid of the scumbags and such.
Sep 21, 2007 03:21 am i beg to differ with coco, a 'good slap' would only fuel them and the same kind of misbehavior. i'm not sayin' "lets listen to them and 'coexist'" but violence towards violent people hardly ever yields good results.
Sep 21, 2007 06:50 am yeah, they don't need a good slap, they need a serious life threatening or ending *** kickin...I mean SERIOUSLY, the people guitar jim sites terrorized people, innocent people and families. They got some serious problems that require some SERIOUS backlash. This counseling or whatever is crap, not only imprison them, wisely choose a cellmate too...let nature sort it out.
How much damn longer are we going to let people do this sort of **** without some serious consequences...I mean SERIOUS.

Sep 21, 2007 07:09 am Well, you have a good example of that happening right now with the Jena six.
Sep 21, 2007 07:15 am Anything that involves Jesse Jackson isn't worth my time...besides that, what I am saying has nothing to do with race, it's has to do with worthless dregs of humanity that are leeching of civilized society and inputing nothing of value themselves.
I heard of Jena 6 for the first time last night, just read part of a news clip on Google news got a line that said "Rev. Jesse Jackson, the founder of the RainbowPUSH Coalition and an organizer of the demonstration, told a crowd" and had to quite reading...he and Al Sharpton are two of the most hate filled racists there are.
Sep 21, 2007 07:21 am OK, just to educate myself I read the rest of the article...so, if I hang a noose from a tree they'll cut the tree down? What the hell kind of move was that? Do these people know that knots untie?
Some white kids tie a noose in a tree, it gets dismissed, some black kids kick the crap out of a white kid and get charged...that's about it right?
OK, so, the white kids did something passive, perhaps threatening but passive, still, should be charged but not with much...it sounds like the black kids did some serious bodily damage, ummmmm, yeah, that deserves charging...but, leave it to good ol' Jesse to get people foaming at the mouth.

Sep 21, 2007 02:11 pm from what i understand, db, not the whole story.
the part of the story that keeps getting left out is that some white kids jumped a black kid, and got a slap on the wrist. some black kids jumped a white kid and get attempted murder charges thrown at them. i'm not sure of the seriousness of injuries to any of the kids, but it sounds like it could be different systems for different races...
EDIT:
I first read about it in august from this website:
www.colorofchange.org/jena/message.html
it has a pro jenna six attitude obviously, but it may give a different perspective.

Sep 21, 2007 08:52 pm One thing I think we are all forgetting is exactly were this happened. Louisiana is not exactly you average mixed race town. We are talking about a place were this kind of thing still exists, sadly but it does. And the town of Jena for those that have never been there is like a flash back in time. Although there is no sign posted or the like, there are certain places that are off limits to either side of this affair.
And in reference top the Rev.'s Sharpton and Jackson. Well they will do anything to stir the pot. And it seems this is just another bandwagon they can jump on to stay in the public eye and keep pushing the race card.
I think they really need to open their eyes and take a look at the bigger picture. Not just focus on the small places that this kind of thing still happens more often then not.
Maybe work with the Gov. of Louisiana to attempt to make changes in the local Gov. in that town to start with. That might get the ball rolling. Its easy for them to stand on the outside and point the finger in. But were they there, have they ever been there? I highly doubt it. Before this took place that was just another small town to them.

Sorry, Noize, you lost me right there..., read it real closely...you should be ashamed :-)

Sep 21, 2007 10:12 pm OK, the state. :-(
And Jena is the town. Either way, it is the deep south and that stuff still exists as if it was 35 years ago.
Sep 22, 2007 03:25 am i'll vouch for that^^^, i see/hear it DAILY...

Sep 22, 2007 09:23 am I've been on the receiving end of death threats, where 'officials' would do nothing beyond strictly warning me that any action on my part would bring immediate legal action. The threats made by the morons in the boats were more overt, but still less credable than the nuses strong from that tree. I'm done, this is fruitless.
