Audio Output Interruptions

I just bought a Line 6 Toneport and have it hooked up to my laptop via USB. The program I'm using is Live Lite 4. When recording into the program (through Gear Box - which adds the effects and tones) the signal is fine. But it seems that the signal coming out into my headphones (which are hooked into the toneport) has random cracks and silences. As it doesn't effect the recording it isn't a huge issue but it is very, very distracting. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I assume that a setting within my laptop needs to be adjusted.

You may need to in and adjust the latency buffers in Ableton. I'm not exactly sure were they are as I don't use it. But you can assume they are probably in the Audio/Options menu.

Adjusting it up a little should help get rid of playback pops and clicks.
