drum machine recording

i simply want to record my drum machine compositions to cd. rather than gum up the family's home pc with home studio stuff, or investing (at this time) in a separate music computer, would it just make sense to purchase a recording station, as i have been checking out online?

Recording your beats to CD wouldn't take much "gumming up" of your home PC...actually, the Nero software package has enough to do it all by itself. It has an audio editing (which I believe records too)...just record and burn it right from there.
Or, yes, a work station would do the job too.
