my computer crashed when i had windows media edition and it turned out that it wasn't compatible with it, now i have windows xp pro and it doesn't seem to work and crashes each time i try to install it.

here is the code when the blue screen comes up
0xc0000005, 0x00000000, 0xF7A157c8, 0xF7A154c4

I have an acer laptop aspire 5630, Realtek high definition audio

After the crash I go to device manager and there are a bunch of devices that have a yellow exlamation mark

Is there a way to fix this? It never worked on media edition and now is not working on Pro?!?

Did you by chance simply install XP over media edition? I am wondering if something went array there. Also a little note. The Tascam unit has been nothing but trouble, if you search the forum with our search engine you will find about 30 or more threads on this very same subject, and sadly only a small handfull of people actually got the thing working proper.

One thing is you may need to go in and remove all the devices with the question marks as they are probably duplicates of the US 122 unit driver install.

But I would suggest trying to turn off the realtek audio before installing the Tascam unit. And remember you will want to start the driver install with the unit not connected to the USB port. Then when the install asks for it you can plug in the unit.
