I am pleasantly surprised with what I am seeing so far...Tavaris Jackson looked very good, Bollinger is eh...Williamson actually caught some balls he touched...WOW, he must have put in some work in the off season...Defense is looking decent, not great, but decent. Peterson is starting to get comfy after a few plays and putting on some decent shows.
Not excited yet, but overall they look better than I expected to see.

i wish i could see these. i went out to see the steelers last weekend, and they looked great. ben is fixed, and tomlin seems great. apparently we can now play 3-4 and 4-3, and i think we're adding some west coast stuff too. which means total multi-dimensionality! watch out!
of course, we got a mascot, unfortunately. i don't expect 'steely mcbeam' to last. i hope he goes away very soon.

Aug 10, 2007 10:30 pm hehehe steely mcbeam. better than KC Wolf I guess, who has absolutely nothing to do with the Chiefs but manages to endure as our mascot. I guess we never recovered after losing the indian chief in full headdress that used to ride on the field after touchdowns...he succumbed to an acute yet mysterious case of political correctness.
Thats good that the Vikes' offense has picked up since their scrimmage last weekend. It sounds like the KC defensive line manhandled the Minnesota O line. But that defensive line of the Vikes' is pretty damn good. One of the best in football for sure.
I bet the Steelers are going to be great this year as well. I'm pretty worried about the Chiefs and all the uncertainties about our roster. I think our D will rock by the end of the year but our offense is pretty questionable. Ugh I hate to say that. I believe in them! I believe!

The Vikes looked great. It's only preseason, but I was impressed, hell, even some 3 or 4 string QB Thigpen looked decent, a couple good moves. Maybe this won't be the blowout season I expect.
That said, the Ram's looked decent in the game too...
Aug 11, 2007 03:00 am yeah you know what? when people say 'the preseason is meaningless,' i say 'no it's not!' in the preseason you get to see how well your second and third stringers play a football game! you get to see if the coaching is solid. it can reveal stuff.
