in all honesty...the machine wasn't all that impressive to me...there's TONS of good 808 samples out there for the software samplers that sound just as good...the really cool thing it had was individual outputs for each drum...you could do some crazy routing with them.

programming it is pretty easy, but i prefered triggering it with cakewalk (professional 8)....it was quite noisy/dirty though.

one of the coolest things i did with it was record the Beastie Boys "Paul Revere"...i had to write out the beat on paper the program it backwards, record it, then flip it...but I GOT THAT MOFO!

hey, i was not into vanilla ice until i got his 'live in miami' tape.....man i had instant respect...the guy can work a crowd...which is a talent of it's own...but still, he will do anything for the right price, but this IS america, and that's just how we roll. so i can't blame him....but the fact that he would probably take a whiffle ball bat up his booty for the right publicity/money makes me doubt him....but if someone walked up to me and said..."we'll pay you a mil, all you hafta do is jack off this horse and make it SEEM like you love it", i just might do it....my integrity says NEVER, but my reality says "F it"...so i can't blame the man. he's not guilty of being a capitalist, he knows it's either that, or work for 'the man'. easy money. unfortunately the general public (thank god!) can see through it....well not at first, it may take 'em awhile.
