hey guys

when i move pictures or videos to new folders, it looks like thumbnails don't come along for the ride. i thought they were supposed to regenerate? can anyone tell me how to get thumbnails for this stuff? mostly it seems to happen with videos.

Do you have Thumbnails selected under the View tab?

Navigate to the folder you want to change. Right click, properties. Select the Customise tab. In the drop down list for "Use this folder type as a template" select whether it is a music folder or pictures etc.

herb: yes.
beer: that's how it was set.

does it just take a while for them to show up? since they were moved, is there some problem about the original thumbs.db files? cause like, i moved these out of another folder, which still exists. 'show hidden files,' though, doesn';t reveal a thumbs.db in that folder either. yet in that folder this stuff had thumbnails.

sorry i just gotta figure this out because i need to clear out my entire drive and get organized and stuff, so there;s gonna be a lot of file moving. so far this is only happening with videos, i think.
