If you had $4000 and you wanted to create a studio selling HIGH QUALITY hip hop/rap instrumentals from a keyboard, what equipment would you buy? and why? I heard the Korg Triton keyboard is great for making instrumentals. What are your suggestions for $4000?
I'm curious at everyone reply messages because everyone has there own standards. Let's hear yours.....

Jan 19, 2003 04:00 pm I have an idea. Why don`t you just give that $4000 to me and I`ll put it on my school bill. I think thats a jolly good idea.
Jan 20, 2003 05:05 am If I actually ever used a keyboard I would be glad to give you my two cents, but I really never do...hopefully nioze2u will see this thread since he uses them all the time.

Jan 20, 2003 09:42 am umm.. the triton studio is a good universal keyboard for that kind of music... up i wouldnt say for hip hop a keyboard would be first on my list.. sampler.. tables.... groove box maybe.. if you want to spend 4000$ on a keyboard... and you dont know much about keys.. then i would sugest maybe putting your funds to a more prommising buy. But its up to you man.

Jan 22, 2003 07:38 pm The Triton is a great all around keyboard. It can be set up to do almost anything you would like. It has onboard sequancing, can use sample's, can also tweak it's own patche's for some waked out stuff. And it is very linkable to a PC for some deep editing. If I had the extra space, I would put one in. The Triton is again very versatile and I know several hip/hop guy's that use them. The layer's and sound's in the Triton are extremely well thought out and wide ranged. There are drumset's, horn set's, key set's, and just about anything you could want. If you have the money to spend, and want to jump in head first, I would highly recomend that unit, as it can do much more then most. It is really a a stand alone work station when you come right down to it.
