fostex X-77 speed change

Hello all,
i just aquired this machine with the user guide. the guide states that you can switch speed from hing speed to normal speed, but not how. does someone know how to play normal speed tapes in this machine?
previous i had a porta-one, but is was stolen long ago. now i want to play those normal speed tapes again on the fostex x-77

May 17, 2007 08:17 pm I went to the Fostex manual data base and found no x-77. Do you possibly mean xr7???
Anyway, there is a pitch control knob, which when centered is running at normal high speed. But it does make it sound as though there is a switch for normal and high speed. It should be right on the front if it indeed has one. It is possible it could be on the back, but I doubt it.
