Pro Tools Plugins

Any suggestions? I just have the basic plugins right now, and I know there are plenty of necessary ones still out there. For one, I just have a standard chorus and flange plugin. What better ones are there? I've also been in need of a phaser plugin, what could I look for? I'm just thinking of all the things someone would have in a pedalboard that would be useful in protools- phaser, tremelo, chorus, flanger, better reverb, better delay (although what I've got now gets the job done), maybe even an autowah, an automatic envelope, even whacked out stuff like a ring modulatore

anyway, recommend me some pro tools plugins

I am personally a big fan of Waves plugins www.zzounds.com/item--WAVNATIVEPLATINUM/a--884907 but they ain't cheap, then again, nothing for ProTools is. Waves plugs are da bomb though.

I just invested in that exact bundle myself. If you want the sound, don't cut corners and build from the ground up. It is expensive, but well worth every cent. I talked to a live sound engineer who's been in the business over twenty years, when I asked him about plug-ins, Waves Platinum bundle was the 1st thing out of his mouth.

Or you could always get a VST wrapper and get some of the thousands of free VST plugins out there.

I don't think that all VST plugins and instruments are compatible with the wrappers, but at least its a way to get around the PT "must use our expensive accessories" road block.

Go Hardware!

haha. I have used the waves and liked em, as well as some of the ssl stuff which I liked, but mainly these days I use free plugs when I need em, but I run most of my stuff through what little outboard gear I have.
