Hey Erik,
Seeing as you took the time to download one of my tracks to listen to, I returned the favour for your track "telepathy"
The first thing that struck me was the quality of the acoustic guitar - very lush, and very effective when it first comes in with that meandering piano line underneath it. Continuing on the "I like, I like" theme, the hats are beautiful, very crisp and detailed.
Okay, now for the flipside, here's what I would address...
1. The Kick doesn't stand out at all. Did you mic it? If so then try shoving on about 9dB of gain at 4KhZ with quite a tight Q (or just boost the HF if your EQing options are limited)
2. The Snare is well recorded, but IMHO the reverb doesn't sit too well on it - Are you using the same reverb you used on the vocals? Try a dark plate reverb with some of the high end rolled off on the reverb return and a short (9ms ish) decay - this can work really well to warm that snare up a bit.
3. The Bass - I presume there is a bass guitar in there (or there is at least a bass synth, no?) It is distinguishable, but it's not really eating up that low frequency is it? Your whole mix seems very shy on the bass side. I whacked on a bit of LF boost (+6dB at 80Hz) on my console and it instantly brought out the bottom end thus warming up the whole track and giving it more presence.
If you don't mind I will have a quick pop at mastering it and post the results on the web.
Other than those small production points, I thought the result was great - there is little hiss and everything sits well in the mix - especially the vocal. As for the song writing, it's not my cup of tea, but I found myself humming the bass line afterwards - can't be bad :)
