PS3 Audio. HDMI and Toslink

I just got the PS3 and had audio question.
My TV has HDMI which carries audio and video.
I also have a older surround receiver that works great but has now HDMI inputs. So I want to use the Toslink from the PS3 to the surround if I want Surround sound effects.
Since I have several HDMI sources (HD cable receiver, and upscaling DVD player)and I am connecting everything through a www.octavainc.com/HDMI%20...link.htm.
Everything, video and surround sound works.

I set the PS3 audio to Toslink setting, but now there is no audio on the HDMI port.

Is there any way to have sound from the HDMI and Toslink output of the PS3?

Your link did not work.

I did however just set up one of my sons buddies PS3 and used the Toslink output into their surround sound receiver and it worked very well. You do have to set it to not only use the Toslink output but choose the surround type as well before it will work.
