I was just looking thru my new Clicky stats, Clicky is the new analytics app I am using for HRC getclicky.com/4660 it's actually VERY cool, and free, though I plan to pay for the pro option as it's cheap and VERY cool.
Anyway, referring search engines are google.com, google.co.uk, google.[insert extension here]
Does anyone use any other search engines? I see a sprinkling of Yahoo, MSN, etc, but hardly any...going up against Google seems about as futile as Linux trying to go up against Windows...
What do others use, I use Google, cuz quite frankly, it gives me the best results the quickest it seems.

Apr 03, 2007 08:33 am Google seems to come built-in to so many browsers these days that it's become a matter of habit to use it. It's right up there on the Safari toolbar. To be honest, I've never really explored other options.
Apr 03, 2007 08:45 am I have tried Yahoo, Ask, MSN, etc...I've learned that some are very easy to play in terms of getting good rankings, Yahoo and MSN being the easiest IMO, Google isn't, they're a bit harder. In terms of relevant results, Ask.com seems good but I never think of using it, MSN and Yahoo are OK, but Google has always seemed to get me where I want to go quicker.
You have a good point about browser integration tho Jim, I never thought of that.
Apr 03, 2007 08:07 pm I use Yahoo by habit though since Google is in Firefox I've been using that more and more. For some reason I don't like Google, I never find what I want in it's results but Yahoo is good, I think it's just what I'm used to

Apr 09, 2007 06:57 pm Like BH I used to use AltaVista and Lycos as well. Yahoo never gets me good results, or enough of them. Google just seems faster and more results. Although there have been times what I really wanted was buried 10 pages deep. Once I learned to refine my search terms a bit Google became much easier.
And ya, I tried the new Yahoo one you posted a bit back dB, it just didn't come up with the variety of results that Google does.
