burner questions

Hello,

This may be more of a computer question than a studio question. I export my mix from cubase se (save as wave or MP3) to wavelab add some compression and color, but i cant get anything to burn.I thought It was a hardware problem so Ive tried three different burners but the burn locks up and times out. Then I figured it was a software problem. Ive tried windows media player and win dvd as well as one other burn software that I don't remember the name of. All with the same result. No burn. Ive tried all the troubleshooters, called Microsoft, talked to the GEEKS I know and still no burner.
Anyone run into a problem like this?? and what did you do to solve it.

well, the good news is a new cd burner isn't too expensive these days, when was the last time you burned a cd with it? does it read cd's ok?

also, once you get it workin' you should burn from Wavelab.

hey whos

like i said the burner is number 3 they all did the same thing. The first 2 burned fine on my old computer. The third one is new . I had a bud tell me to update the firmware. Ill do that right away. I overlooked the the option of burning from wavelab. Thanks for that.

Firmware can make a huge difference. Remember, "new" does not necessarily equal "good".

Windows XP can burn right in Windows Exploder too...Wavelab's burning is awesome, use it if you can.
