tascom dp01fxcd vs. edirol ua-25

I have to do some audio voice recording for an audio course I'm creating and want to be able to work with the tracks after I record them in SOny Soundforge before I mass produce them to CD.

I have the opportunity to buy a Tascom dp01fxcd or a Edirol ua-25 for roughly the same price. I will be using my AT 3035 mic with this setup.

Can anyone make any recommendations as to which i should get? Pros and cons? I know the dp01fxcd is a much more expensive machine but will it work with what I'm trying to do?

Thanks,

Considering the rather simple nature of your task at hand, I don't think one would be that much better than the other. I have used the Edirol device before (or, more accurately, Cakewalk's branded version of it) and it's actually a pretty handy little unit.

Several people have had problems getting the DP-01 to export the wav files to their PC. And honestly as dB stated, the Edirol is a great little unit. You might be far ahead to go that route if you will only be working on the PC to edit and so on.
