Urgent problem mixing a live show for DVD

I have a pretty big and urgent problem, my band recently organized a show and at teh gig we had a competition for anyone who won the game they would get a free DVD of our gig. So we when we recorded we hooked up teh live board aux outs (main outs) to our delta66 into cubase as a left mono and right mono of the left and right outputs of the live board. The sound is quite decent, we ahve a strong drum sound and clear bass, but the problem lies in the vocals which are way over the mix and the guitars which r quite faint and buried. I cant kind seem to find a Q where there is more guitars thanvocals so i can boost them, or atleast cut vocals. Someone already won teh competition so im kind of strapped for time. We also have the audio on camera but its just into the normal handycam type front mic, dont know if that can be added to help.
Anyone have any eqing trix or plugins u think might be able to help me either cut vox without cutting guitars, or find a way to pull up guitars a bit more to compete with the vox?

I did this once, it was not good, but it was better.

I took the track and ran it three times. On one I EQ'd to pull out bass and drums, one for vox, and one for the guitars. It sounded better than the initial track, but like I said, not great.

So maybe on a guitar track, use one of the vocal reducers they use for karaoke. And then do a low cut to remove the rythm section a tad.

So really, just try creative EQ'ing to pronounce what you want and drop the other. Doing so with a cpl tracks of the same take should still result in a decent end mix and gives you a tad more control than just one track.

Is the guitar panned left or right in the recording?

Maybe try isolating the vocals as much as possible then flip its phase and blend it back in with the rest of the recording.

If the guitar is reeallly faint I'd re-record it. Shhhhh :-).

yeah we toyed witht the re-recording idea, but some of the stuff is out of tune from the live show, and its pretty messy, i dont think wed get a clean one goin. The guitars r present on both ends, coz there was two guitars... and so r teh vocals.. their just EVERYWHERE! how does the phase flip thing work?
and another fact is, it was a whole bunch of bands, so it would be too much of an undertaking to get them all in to rerecord a 6 hr show.

today i tried some of the stuff already suggested, making a bunch of differnet "trax" up, but the vocals r just all over the place. I tried throwing some reverb on teh track with the most defined vocal to maybe push it back, but the problem i foudn now is that its nto so much the vocals that r standing out, its that the guitars r so faint it makes the vox sound awkward.

So you are not able to take the track and just bring out guitars through EQ? Re-record, even if messy may be the way.

Although, If you want to rip the track to MP3 and let others here take a stab at bringing the guitars forward for you I would give it a shot.
