What USB interface do you have? That will help some. And the answer on the 7 drum mic thing is yes, sort of. What I mean by that is if your audio interface is on a two channel interface then you will have to have the mic's routed out of the mixer as a stereo mix. Meaning you will need to take extra care in making sure the levels of all are set pretty much perfect before it ever leaves the mixer. AS once it is recorded to two channels it is hard to remix say just the snare level and so on.
On Acid Pro 6.0, I am not sure if it will record more then two audio tracks at once. I would imagine the answer to that is in the manual for the software. I know there are a few Acid users here that may have a firm answer on that.
Feb 06, 2007 12:47 am The usb interface is the behringer U-control UCA200 , also would you recommend a software that will record more tracks at once , Thanks heaps

Feb 06, 2007 08:16 am The UCA200 will only record 2 inputs at once, so it matters not if you have software with more input capability.
Plug the mics into the mixer, and sound check to get the mix where you like it. Plug 2 outputs from the mixer to the input of the uca200.
Press record in your software.
Now you can plug the two outputs from the UCA200 back into a stereo pair in the mixer, then plug your monitors into the mixer somewhere so you can monitor from the mixer. But this solution is more complex, and may be more difficult to set up correctly.
As far as 'everything else you might need', that's a pretty individual question. How would we know what you might need. Keep recording, and keep reading, and you'll figure that out on your own.
