Jan 17, 2007 10:32 pm I've had it for about a year now. It works real slick for a quick little go over. I use it as an insert on both tracks and busses.

Jan 18, 2007 07:18 pm Ya, the setting on it is actually the perfect setting for over head drum mic's and for hand drums as well.
It was originally designed for something completely different, like a feedback circuit or something.

Jan 18, 2007 08:22 pm I briefly read the article about it, it was some kind of talk back circuit that sounded awesome on drums. I don't have any drums so i can't try that out, but i do like the way it sounds on my voice.
Jan 22, 2007 07:27 pm Schaweet!
Got the chance to use the real one on a 9000k. Brutal to say the least haha. Can't wait to try this one out.
I think phil collins used the 4000G talkback comp extensively on drums.

Jan 22, 2007 08:47 pm yeah I was reading an article about his use of the compressor on drums. I wish I had the chance to record drums so I could try it on that, but alas... my rythem section is usually just cans and books.

Jan 23, 2007 10:38 pm Yep, he used several on his drums. I used the same thing back in the day. It made for a very huge sound really when used correctly.
