Hello
I wonder if anyone here can advise me please !
Although Ive been using an old fostex 4 track for a lot of years, Ive never used outboard mixers.
I have just purchased a small YAMAHA MG10/2 mixer and hoped I could use it in conjunction with a Roland cube 30 guitar amp.
My hope was to put a mic and drum machine thro the mixer and into the amp's aux in and the guitar via the single guitar amp input.

I cant find a match on the mixer-outs or amp-ins...
Am I in trouble ????

MIXER OUTS
ST OUT L/R RATED LEVEL +4 dBu (max+20dBu)
REC OUT L/R -10 dBV (max+10dBv)
CR OUT L/R +4 dBu (max+20dBu)
===========

BOTH AMP INPUTS.... -10dBu

Grateful for any help..thanks

Sorry it took so long to reply.

OK, dBu and dBV are relatively the same thing. Although yes, they are different as well.

Without getting into lengthy scientific terms the u stands for unload and the V of course stands for Volt. So there is a slight difference even though they are commonly used for the same measurements.

+4dBu is for pro level audio gear input and output. -10dbV and sometimes referred to as -10dBu is for consumer level gear i/o.

To be on the safe side I would use the record out L/R of the mixer and go to the amp that way. Make sure you have sufficient output signal coming from the mixer so you don't cause any unwanted noise gong into the amp.
