Echo Gina 24 Soundcard for CD Playback on PC?

Hi,
My Soundblaster Audigy on my general purpose home computer took a crap and I have an Echo Gina 24 I'm not using on my recording PC. Can I remove the Soundblaster and use the Gina as the only soundcard on the pc and still hear sound from the computer's CD-rom? The reason I ask is because I don't see a place to hookup the internal connector from the CD-rom the the Gina soundcard itself. Is there a way to route the signal without the internal wire? Forgive me if the answer is obvious and thanks in advance.

The signal will route with or without the internal hook up. The internal wire is just an analog bypass. which was there for older CD rom's that didn't connect digitally via the IDE buss.

So yes, you can use the Gina without any problems.

Ahh, thanks a lot. I suspected that I could but the wire was giving me doubts. Thanks again.
