Need help with noise removal

Hello,
I have recorded my not-yet-born baby by Doppler. I can hear the heart beating, but the Doppler create sometimes a very strong ground noise. I have a Wav file recorded by the Windows recorder (don't laugh) and I would like some help on how to clean the surrounding noise in order to get a nice heart beating. Could somebody help me, please, thanks
Julien

By "ground noise", do you mean background noise or a 60 Hz hum?

If you have no other software than Windows Sound Recorder, you can download the Audacity program for free (Google it). It has some noise reduction features.

Also, once you get Audacity installed, there is a patch that you can apply to it that will allow you to use your own VST plugin effects. I'm sure that there are several VST EQ, noise reduction, and maybe noise sampling/reduction plugins that you can use.

Kristal Audio Engine, while designed for multitracking, is a bit easier to use with VST plugins. But its still free.
