without knowing what sound card, what PC and what application, it's kind hard to tell for sure.

i have this program,and i need to record audio. not midi. when i press record and i tap the mic that is built into my computer monitor, everything works fine but when i connect my mixer into the mic in (in my sound card)...the sound comes outta the speakers but wont record how can i record sources other than midi

Dec 26, 2002 08:22 am You should use the "line in" on your sound card if coming from a mixer. then you also have to open up your sound menu (the speaker looking thing or in control panel)in your computer and change the recording from mic (mute mic) to line in and adjust the level to about 75%.

tonyd is right, coming form a mixer use the line in...
