man... GoW on the Xbox360 is very cool.

I beat it in about 10-12 hours on Hardcore (which unlocked INSANE difficulty) which left me wanting more.

the online play is hella cool too and probably it's shining point. if you have it hit me up on live

I just saw an ad for it on TV, looks awesome.

Unfortunately, the last console system I owned was the 16-bit Super Nintendo. I got into PC gaming instead and rode that for several years. Now I don't have the money to buy a computer capable of running any of the fun new games like GoW (is that 360-only, or a cross-platform release?). I tried to push it with Call of Duty 2, but it comes out at like 10 fps with the graphics dumbed waaaay down. Hell, I can't even put VST effects on a master bus in Cubase SE or else my system chokes.

Someday maybe. I miss blowing **** up, especially high-resolution **** :D

yeah... i had switch to PC gaming but every six months i was buying a new Graphics card to keep up. That coupled with this game isn't campatible with these drivers and son on... consoles are the way to go for me.

Consoles are doing a great job with FPS and a controller, try it out. it takes some getting used to if you're a keyboard/mouse kind of player.

Yeah GoW is exclusive to 360

I got it, have not beat it yet but am loving every minute of it. I have a 50" Samsung DLP setup and this game looks frickin fantastic.

And yes the online is shining bright and looks like it will continue to do so.

I'll add you tonight.

On the PC side, I'm a spoiled brat. My wife has a E6300 (the 1.8g Ghz Conroe chip) Media Center hooked to the tv that I just plugged in a 7950GTOC into, omg it games much better than my machine which suprised me. Mine is a 3.2HT with 2x7800GTX's. Cool thing is, now I can sell off the 7800's and get a cheap graphics card while making my machine a more dedicated studio PC. With the extra cash from the cards I will finally be able to afford a Pentium D 960 which is the highest processor my PC will take.

Sony here. Gonna wait though before jumping on the PS3, although they have the graphic's donw killer and ready to be upgraded when the time comes I'm not sold on the processer architecture yet. Although they did take a good long time to try and kill all the bugs, I'm sure the first gen machines will still have a few bugs. Besides, I'm a driver game guy and Carbon was just released so I'm going to be fine for a while. And my second gen PS2's are online when they need to be so its all good.

I do like a little shoot em up once in awhile though. I'm more into Unreal and the like though. We do a Lan set up for unreal with about 15 boxes for the scouts and it is a blast to snipe those unsuspecting kids. That or just go for all out mayhem and run rampant shooting anything that gets in my way.

Zek, I wish I still had my old Atari and Intelavision II. They were a blast back then.
