hey i just got a mac and i was wondering if there was a way to transfer all the vst plugins i had on my windows to the mac. and if mac even accepts vst

Nov 05, 2006 12:04 pm I am not absolutely sure on this, but I think most programs on the Mac run a differant pluggin architecture. But if that is the case I would be guessing there is a converter pluggin out there just like the VSt adapters you see for windows that will apply to the Mac architecture.
I dont think Mac can read a .dll file, I could very well be wrong an that one though.
Nov 05, 2006 08:10 pm I think that Noize is right on this one. About a year ago I went from the Windows world to the Mac world, and I had to re-download new VST plug-ins tp get them to work. Actually, that's not even true...I mostly use AU plug-ins now.

That is if the MAc will accept the .dll extension which is usually how the VST or VSTi is shown.
