just got a mac

hey i just got a mac and i was wondering if there was a way to transfer all the vst plugins i had on my windows to the mac. and if mac even accepts vst

I am not absolutely sure on this, but I think most programs on the Mac run a differant pluggin architecture. But if that is the case I would be guessing there is a converter pluggin out there just like the VSt adapters you see for windows that will apply to the Mac architecture.

I dont think Mac can read a .dll file, I could very well be wrong an that one though.

I think that Noize is right on this one. About a year ago I went from the Windows world to the Mac world, and I had to re-download new VST plug-ins tp get them to work. Actually, that's not even true...I mostly use AU plug-ins now.

i dont use garage band though i use cubase se 3

Then you should just be able to check the extension they use on the Mac and if it is the same, yep you'll be good to go.

That is if the MAc will accept the .dll extension which is usually how the VST or VSTi is shown.
