Oct 19, 2006 06:51 pm Well, your MXL mic needs 48volt phantom power to operate and the virtualizer does not supply that. In fact now 1/4" jack does that I know of. You will need a source such as a small mixer or pre amp that can supply the phantom power to the mic before it goes into the virtualizer.

Oct 19, 2006 09:29 pm He really needs to get the virtualizer in the chain after the US122 as it has pre amps and should have phantom power. I dont suppose that thing has inserts or an effects loop does it?
Oct 19, 2006 11:38 pm well us 122 has a phantom power, and i tried to plug mxl990 in to a small mic pre amp and from pre amp to virtualizer and then from virtualizer to us 122 and still no sound.

Oct 20, 2006 12:53 pm I would check each able to make sure they are all OK. Does the small mic pre have phantom power on it? And was it switched on? I know, silly questions, but unless a cable is bad or a channel on one of your pieces of gear is bad then we have to look somewhere.
Oct 22, 2006 10:23 pm the guy in a guitar center told me i need a mixer for a virtualizer cause mixer has a somekind of aux, no idea what that means. Is it true?
Thanks

Oct 23, 2006 06:00 pm Yes, a mixer would be the proper way to do it. But you should be able to plug the mic into the pre amp and then the output of the pre amp into the virtualizer and get sound.
I would suggest trying a guitar into the virtualizer and then into the 122 and see if you get sound that way.
If not then either the virtualizer has a bad connection or you may have a bad cable.
Oct 24, 2006 11:03 pm finally i got it first i need to plug mic in to a pre amp with phantom power, then from pre amp to virtualizer and then from virtualizer to us 122 and turn off us 122 phantom power, and i got a sound.
Thanks for help
