Oct 18, 2006 06:37 pm Nice write up Tony. I do see the point for some who need the exposure. But as you stated is it worth it to the common man. Maybe not. But worth a look I guess.
Oct 18, 2006 06:54 pm It's definitely a question of what's it all for, but we can ask that for why we record our home songs. For me it started for me and ends up feeling great if others listen. This is a way to get people to listen even if the methods are somewhat bogus (lol)

Oct 18, 2006 07:36 pm I've had a VIP page for along time which I mainly got for the deep linking, but now there are plenty of places abeit with less traffic that allow deeplinking. I've considered dropping mine several times but haven't ever gotten around to it. The best thing to do if you want lots of plays is too actively promote your music, VIP pages really won't get anything play wise other than if you enable the autoplay which I usually have disabled since for some it's annoying to have a song automatically start playing.
My page has been pretty quiet lately, but I haven't released anything new in quite a while, but I'm closing in on 20,000 plays since I've had the VIP page. :)
