Sonar home studio 4

Ever since I installed Sonar home studio 4,
During playback of either imported auido or recorded audio, the sound cuts off before the end.
After watching the line go across during playback I realized the line was moving way faster then the tempo of the audio. Even when I lowered the tempo in Sonar way down, it still does this.???? I don't know what's up but I guess I can deal with it.

Now all of a sudden I'm not getting any sound during playback on one particular project I'm working on. All other projects playback just fine (of course despite having to deal with the tempo issue)
Can anyone help the kid???

Hmmmm, well, for starters filling out your gear profile would help...what sound card do you have, what computer specs?

Also, is your OS and HS4 both updated to the most current versions as well as sound card drivers?

Thanks for the reply. I don't know how to construct my profile. Sorry.
Yes both are up to date and even if they weren't it wouldn't solve one of my problems. Which is that I'm getting nothing during playback for this one particular project I am working on. All others new or old work perfectly.

sounds to me like the file got corrupt. does sonar have a project file?

Maybe re-create the project, if you can import the files again, and they work.

just thinking out loud here . . .

Over there on the right ------>

is a link for 'edit profile'. you can put in your gear, equipment, etc. and that'll help anyone out that's trying to help you out.

Are you importing or playing audio that you know the tempo is set correctly for? The tracks that are ending adruptly are either corrupted or were never recorded/imported fully.

As for the one project that wont play Make sure you dont have a hidden track soloed with nothing on it. Also make sure the audio settings for that project are set up properly.

Do you actually see a waveform in the track's of the project that wont play? Also check to make sure the correct audio output channels are selected for the tracks.

Thanks for all the help.
I created a profile for all to view. Nothing exciting I must warn.
As far as my issues..
I copied the project that was giving me trouble. Opened a new project, deleted all the tracks in the new project and pasted the old one. IT WORKED!!

I also have set the tempo to the tempo of the imported audio and still Sonar seems to be reading it faster than it plays. The audio itself is not cut off, its the fact that the program reads it faster so when it gets to the end, it stops. I can always start the audio at the end so that I know the entire audio was imported correctly. Thanks for the help!!
