TTS-1 Configuration

I have a problem keeping the changes to configuration in cakewalk tts-1

With the main screen of the soft synth open (for example) I will edit a track and a new window opens.

After changing the controls to what I want I will save the configuration with the "write" button

As soon as I start to play my recording the whole configuration resets.

I am able to load the configuration I have made, but as soon as I start to "play" the configuration is still reset. very frustrating. Any ideas how to retain the settings please would be very welcome

thanks in anticipation

What version of Cakewalk are you using? This will help me tell you exaclty were to go and what to change to have it stop doing that.

It is probably a setting in the global midi settings that is resetting on start or rewind. It can be turned off so that doesnt happen.

Also, are you saving the project as a midi file or another cakewalk type file?

And welcome to HRC.

If you fill out your profile with the gear/software you use we can anser your questions much quicker as well.

Thank you so much for your welcome. I'm sorry I didn't put that in the profile. I have added a few things now.

This problem is in Sonar 5 Producer

I tried a few of the global and project settings but probably havnt found the right one yet.

I am saving as a cakewalk file (cwp) the "reset" hapens as soon as I click "play" even if I don't start at the very beginning. I can make the changes while I "play" and they remain even when I click "stop" but as soon as I click play again, they are reset.

OK, it is a good idea to always save as the cwp or cwb file.

Anyway, to save a file you have edited the sound of with the edit function in TTS-1 you will need to do the following to save it as it is.

After editing is complete, double click the name showing in the edit window such as Organ 1, type in a new name and hit OK. Now click the write button, choose a location to save it, which will be in the user presets. Click on the location, when the dialogue comes up click OK. It will now be saved to a user bank from which you can choose it when you need it again.

Also you might find that you have choosen a preset in the main track window. Remember that you need to have the proper channel, bank and patch selected there as well or what ever bank patch you have selected there will always come back when you hit play or record.

If you need more detail, let me know and I will try and elaborate a bit for you.

Great to hear that worked for you. The TTS-1 is kind of a neet little softsynth for experimenting and finding sounds.

You need to re-save the project with the newly selected bank's and patch's in the track view. Otherwise it will simply recall the ones you had before.

That could be true. If you have 2 of the same mix saved you may be laoding the one with the incorrect patches saved to it.
