I've been working on this Blind Guardian cover for a few months now, and I think I'm happy with how it turned out. That is to say, I don't want to work on it anymore haha.
Let me know what you think :)

Jul 30, 2006 03:18 pm Very nicely done. The drums could be brought up just the smallest amount when the guitars are really shredding. But otherwise they sound great. The guitars are sounding great, and the bass sits very nicely in the mix. Just the drums sound slightly behind in the mix. Maybe bring the reverb mix on them down ever so slightly and vring the level up just a tiny bit. That should give them just a slight bit more presence in the mix. Otherwise your drum work is sounding very life like and well done.
Otherwise the tune is very well done, I like the guitar work a ton. It keeps moving the whole way through without getting stagnant.

Jul 30, 2006 10:43 pm Thanks guys :) Yup this one took quite a while. I'm not the greatest lead guitarist, so some of those licks took a very long time to do. And as most of them are harmonized with 1-3 other guitars, it became very difficult!
I'll try and fiddle with the drum levels some more. I had them -2 dB quieter than my usual stuff, so that is probably it.
