Hi guys n gals, just a question,Im trying out a 1k power amp to supply a 15 bin and a 1x 10+horn small pa set up.Now the amp is split into three, one 550watts and two 250watts with a selectable two way crossover switch. The choice is 120hz,180hz or full range. It also has a LF boost switch and three level controls.I like the idea but what would you select.Mainly vocals/drums+some bass guitar through Behringer mixer and as Im in the band I just want to set it and play.Cheers.

Jul 13, 2006 11:33 am With a 15" with 10's in the highpacks I think I'd try the 180hz first, get as much of the lows to those 15" as possible...if it was an 18 in the bin and 12's in the hipacks I might lean more toward the 120...

Jul 13, 2006 09:44 pm I agree with dB on that one. The 15 will handle the slightly higher X over point. You may find as well it depends on the club setting as well too. So if it doesnt get it at the 180 point try the 120. But 180 should really work well all around.
Jul 15, 2006 03:18 am Thanks for replies, will give it the 180hz.The top cabs are cerwin vega and sound pretty good on their own for a small cab.The amp has an LF and HF outs so the whole thing can be stepped up with more amps/cabs. As it is, it all fits in the car+ mons and guitar gear with still room to squeeze in the drink sodden, short skirted, make up smudged, deserted sexy chick that exists in my mind, that would love a lift home.(how considerate)
