Hi all,
I am currently looking for a new replacement for my Mbox as an interface to my PC. I have been out of the loop for a while so I was wondering in any of you could point me in the right direction.
I need something that will work with Adobe Audition as that is the software that I am most comfortable with.
I've seen the Yamaha MW12 12-Input unit which looks interesting, but I am not sure of the quality since I haven't used it.
Please send some advice my way!
thanks
Tony

May 18, 2006 12:02 pm Welcome to HRC,
I've looked at that device myself, and it looks quite nice, for what it is, and what it costs.
If you're looking for USB or Firewire, there's a Mackie Spike that looks decent. Also there's the Line6 Toneport UX1 and UX2. They've been reviewed and used here, with great promise.
I've got tascam us122 that I've been using for awhile, and it's working well. It's getting a little long in the tooth, and some people have real problems with it, so maybe not a great option. It has a lot of great features on it though.
If you're looking to get into PCI interface, then there's a lot of more options.
I guess a little more specifics about what you're looking to do would help.
May 18, 2006 12:04 pm how much input/output are you needing? How many track do you record at once? Do you have a mixer or other hardware mic preamps? Do you use mics or record all direct? Midi inputs needed?
Give us nauseating detail...
