ok now i know Pro-tools inst the software of choice of many users on here, seems liek its frowned upon, but i was wondering if anybody knew of some good cheap plugins for it. Im mostly just not impressed with the reveb and the eq thata pro-tools 6.3 came with and would really love some new ones.
anyhelp would be cool.

May 11, 2006 03:34 pm no frownin' here, just don't think it's worth the $$....as for plugs, i don't think i know a single sight with free RTAS pluggs, does PT accept AU?
May 11, 2006 03:36 pm yeah, what he said, no frowning just over-priced and proprietary...
May 11, 2006 03:39 pm I'm frowning 'cos I can't afford it. As for plug-ins, I can't afford those either. That's the beauty of VST and AU...there's tons of freebies. I didn't know that ProTools doesn't use VST...shows how much I pay attention!

You can get a VST to RTAS wrapper somewhere. Have a look.

May 12, 2006 08:56 pm The wrapper that was out there doesnt work for beans. But here is a google of some that might. www.google.com/search?q=R...:en-US:official
I know a couple have been discontinued as well.
And there just arent any cheap RTAS pluggins out there at all. Digidesign makes sure of that.
