So, who's got the new Behringer boards
and what do you think of them, so far?
No reviews on the net yet that I can find,
although if you find any, maybe you could
post the url.
I believe I feel a GAS (gear aquisition syndrome)
attack coming on!
Cheers

I just got the UB1622 a couple weeks ago and got hard to work on the soundtrack of a film as soon as it got hooked up. I can say thus far I have noticed the sound improvement immediately. The board it replaced was the 802a. Though the 802a is a great little board, and sound nice, the UB series has many more config options for more diverse usage, plus the new pre amps (which Behringer calls "IMP" Invisible Mic Preamp) are a bit cleaner, though admitedly I haven't had the chance to check the pres out very thoughly. The digital effects are nice, though not really tweakable, the default settings are nice and totally usable.

All in all, I say for the small price difference, it is more than worth the money to get a UB over their previous models.

AS dB said, the pre's make a big differance. I have the same pre's in my bigger Behringer desk. They are very clean sounding. I have also used their FX processor's for a few year's, and they are the same type processor's that are in mine. A little more update circitry though. But I will stand behind the Behringer gear all the way. And if dB say's he like's it. Well that is good enough for me, as I trust his ear's as much or more then I trust my own.

So what's the deal with the compressor
(among other options) signal routing?
Are you able to route as many signals as
you want through this part of the signal
processor and also add 'verbs on top?
I've checked the pdf manual and found it
really vague.....
Seen any magazine articles on these boards
yet?
