Firewire / USB 2.0 interface with ADAT input

Hello,

I have a Presonus 8 channel XLR input mic preamp with an ADAT output and at the moment use an EMU 1212M sound card in my desktop PC to interface it which works fine but I now want to use my laptop so require a firewire or USB interface.

Ideally I would like an ADAT input - Firewire output device.

I've had a quick look about and come up with the following options:

www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/828

www.m-audio.com/products/...e1814-main.html

www.presonus.com/firestation.html

www.behringer.com/BCA2000/index.cfm?lang=ENG

Obviously it doesn't hurt to get a few more inputs thrown.
So then what do you guys think? Any suggestions??

If you know of anything suitable please let me know! Also Firewire or USB 2? Speeds are very similar are so are their any other issues? I prefer firewire for some reason.

Thanks
Ian

Right now USB 2.0 seems to be the most stable with the most reliable drivers. I was skeptical untill I tried a Line 6 Toneport UX-2 via USB and it works very well and stable. Firewire is catching up quickly however, and most manufacuterer's are working hard to get it done right.

Of the units listed above, my first choice would be the MOTU unit. It has a proven USB interface and the firewire drivers are stable at the moment. It will give you a bigger choice of options as well. And the company has been making interfaces for a long while.

The second choice would be the Presonus unit. Again, fairly reliable, and they seem to be ironing out their driver issues quickly.
