Mar 23, 2006 01:55 am you have to buy a direct box that you can connect the out of the amp to it.

Mar 23, 2006 10:37 pm your best bet would to mic it. If you dont know how to do that, there are many "how to's" on this web site, or jsut tell me what microphones you have, and ill fill you in on some basic techniques. its fuzzy becuase the "line out" on amps suck. micing it will reproduce the sound of your amop very well, and maybe make it sound better.

Mar 26, 2006 06:26 pm As Robbue stated, when recording using a direct out. Less is more. I use nothing but Line 6 POD xt and the Line 6 Toneport UX-2 these days. And that theory really does apply even with those devices. And they are built just for direct recording. But in the studio when I use them direct I use much less gain then if I were micing a cabinet, even micing a cabinet using the POD.
What kind of amp are you using? The direct out on some models can be very touchy when it comes to getting a good distorted tone. As well, are you using any pedals with the amp? Sometimes that will give too much distortion and cause the fuzzy sound you are talking about.
Mar 26, 2006 07:41 pm mic is the way! also, i'd track the direct anyway, to add some 'sizzle' say like 85/15 ratio.
